Mysti Murphy has been an attorney since 1998. Among her many significant accomplishments, Mysti is a former Dallas County Assistant District Attorney, serving as Chief Felony Prosecutor and Specialized Trial Prosecutor, primarily in the area of domestic violence.
Mysti is an established law lecturer and trial skills instructor, having presented to judges, attorneys, police, probation officers, law students, advocates, and counselors.
She was a consultant on domestic violence for a documentary produced by the Lifetime Television Network, and has also consulted for the City of Dallas Domestic Violence Task Force. In addition, Mysti Murphy was a member of the Texas Governor’s Subcommittee on the Violence Against Women Act.
Reid Renken is an associate attorney with the Mysti Murphy Law Firm. Reid graduated from St. Mary’s School of Law in May 2017 and was licensed to practice law in Texas in November 2017. In 2008 Reid obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the Sam Houston State University.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Reid worked in the entertainment industry in the production of commercials, film, television, and sports. Reid also worked as a contractor supporting various DoD programs for seven years. Reid brings the same dedication and attention to detail to our firm that he brought to his productions.
Andre Turner is a locally raised and educated attorney. He received both his Bachelor’s of Psychology and Master’s of Administration from University of the Incarnate Word in 2011 and 2013, respectively. Andre then attended St. Mary’s University School of Law from which he received his J.D. in 2017 before being admitted to the Bar later the same year.
Shortly after being admitted to practice, Andre served as an Assistant Public Defender. As a Public Defender, he provided representation for the indigent and mentally ill citizens of Bexar County. Andre strives to provide justice and dignity for all of his clients; just as he did when representing the most vulnerable members of our community.
Kathryn is our legal assistant who is training to become a paralegal. Kathryn answers phones, schedules appointments, organizes files, and performs any other duties the legal team needs. She also assists the team in drafting necessary documents, as well as assembling discovery and inventory.
